A note from our founder

Healing is deeply personal, and each journey is unique.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I felt an overwhelming wave of emotions - fear, confusion, loneliness. Despite the support of my loved ones, there was somethig about the experience that felt isolating. You see, facing your own mortality is something that no one can truly  understand unless they've been through it themselves. It's  a journey that you walk alone, even when surrounded by love.

That's why I created the Cancer Companion Journal. It was born out of my own experience navigating the emotional and physical challenges of cancer treatment. In the midst of all the medical appointments, the endless questions, and the well-meaning support from friends and family, I realised there was something I needed that wasn't being offered- a safe, compassionate space for me to check in with myself.

This journal is more than just a tool for tracking symptoms or treatment progress. It's a sacred space for you to connect with your own body and mind. It's where you can track your physical well-being, yes - but also where you can reflect on your emotional landscape. How does it feel to face each day? What thoughts keep you up at night? What is your heart longing to express? These are questions we often don't give ourselves permission to ask in the chaos of treatment, but they are just as important as many medical questions.

As a cancer survivor, I know the power of giving ourselves permission to feel - to acknowledge the pain, the fear, the anger, and even the joy that can exist amidst the struggle. This journal isn't about pretending to be 'strong' or 'brave' for others. It's about being honest with yourself, about honouring your experience, and finding moments of peace in chaos.

Every page of this journal has been carefully crafted to give you a space to reflect, to express and to process whatever you're going through. Whether you use it to track your symptoms, document your fears, or record the small victories, my hope is that it becomes a companion that walks with you - reminding you that you are not alone, and that you are worthy of being heard and understood.

This journal is not just another wellness tool. It's part of the healing journey itself - your personal companion, through one of life's most difficult battles. And it's my hope that, as it did for me, it helps you find strength, healing and peace along the way.

With love and strength,
